commitment

So, I know I've been bad about keeping this blog updated...
I'd like to say it's because I've just been so busy that I haven't had the time, but that isn't completely true.
Business has surely seen a big upturn. I've been getting a lot of extra work from friends, and my own booking have been picking up as well. The last few months have seen me busier than I was at this time last year, and the rest of the summer is already shaping up to be a good one.
I'm exploring different venues to try and stretch into... talking with a few florists and some bridal shops...
Trade shows are something that have captured my interest lately also... I'm looking into how to get into that market.
Health has become a concern as well, I've let myself get too far out of shape. Last week I was at the heaviest I've ever been, and it was kind of a wake up call for me.
The last 8 months has seen a huge improvement in my diet, Kathy and I had been eating better, and doing a lot of grilling or cooking at home to try and avoid eating out so much. I've been more active that usual as well, not justt in performing, but in day to day life.... but still I'd gained weight.
I've spoken with a professional photographer about having some promotional pictures taken... trying to update and upgrade the image of the website and the image that I present as a whole.
I would like to get rid of that freshman 15 that I developed (to be honest, it's more like a freshman 40) and would prefer to only have the one chin when pictures are taken.
Wii Fit has reentered the house, a welcome addition. I must admit that my first full session nearly killed me.
That little white plank can be a brutal task master.
I was happy to discover after the torture had ended that my wii fit age was 20 years old... a full 6 years younger than me. this was encouraging... but I fear it may have been more due to my ninja like balance and critical thinking skills more so than physical endurance or strength of body.
None the less, I try to give at least half an hour of my day to this horrid machine.. and hope to see positive results.
My next couple weeks will see me getting outside in the sun and weather quite a bit.
I will be entertaining at Diamond Ohio's Palmyra Bicentennial Celebrations and Palmyra Park Grand Opening. Kent's 4th of July celebration, and Donato's in Hudson will have me up there for Hudson's Fireworks display (that takes place on the 2nd) as well as having quite a few of other bookings build around the end of this month and the beginning of the next.
